Roses for Shanda

Roses for Shanda

from 10.00

This piece, from my Macabre Beauty Series, was inspired by the horrifically tragic story of Shanda Sharer. Shanda was a 12-year-old girl from Indiana who in 1992 was involved romantically with her classmate Amanda Heavrin. Unfortunately, Amanda had an unstable, jealous ex-girlfriend who did unspeakable things to young Shanda.

So, roses for Shanda and rainbows for gay pride.

I really really really encourage you to READ HER STORY. It is unbelievable to me that someone so young can be so cruel. Yep, she was tortured and burned alive by another child.

I have a variety of products for sale with this design. This is my first real attempt at graphic art - what do you think? It’s not my usual media. Here at my Art Shop you can order prints (with or without a frame and in sizes ranging from 8x10 to 24x36), a mug, a cotton tote (I have one and it ROCKS!), or a unisex T-shirt. The T-shirt comes in various sizes but is only available in one color. If you would like another color please email me directly and I can see about special ordering a specific color for you.

If you want to see a wider variety of products then please go to my Society6 page. I have notebooks, specialized wall art, hoodies, phone cases, furniture - there is literally a ton of products that I won’t list entirely here. It is WAY COOL though, so please so check it out.
