Panic Among Us

Tanzler's Corpse Bride

Tanzler's Corpse Bride

from 10.00

Have you read the story of Carl Tanzler and his corpse bride? It is a must read true story from the 1930’s and 40’s in Florida (USA). This man, a German immigrant, was so obsessed with a patient of his that even her death couldn’t deter him.

To put it bluntly - he dug her up and turned her into a doll (hence the sleeping doll theme of the piece). He also did other nefarious acts that you can read about HERE on my Stories page.

Here is a little basic information about the piece.

  • The artwork was done 100% by hand with black ink.

  • The frame is 10.5” x 12.5” with an 8” x 10” inset. It is made of simple black wood (store bought)

  • It is ready to hang with a small hook on the back

  • The image is signed by me - the artist

I am super excited to announce that I now offer print-on-demand products directly through my site! My shops, Society6 and Redbubble are still up and thriving though.

NOTE: I've edited the images to be as close to the original color of the piece as possible. Your monitor/screen may affect how the image looks (but with today's technology I wouldn't worry about it too much).
